9/11 Twin Towers Burning

Originally from WorldNetDaily:

A new Islamic mosque will open its doors just steps from Ground Zero where Muslim terrorists murdered 2,751 people in the name of Allah on Sept. 11, 2001 – and its leading imam, who conducts sensitivity training sessions for the FBI, has reportedly blamed Christians for starting mass attacks on civilians.

The five-story building at Park Place, just two blocks north of the former World Trade Center site, was the site of a Burlington Coat Factory. But a plane’s landing-gear assembly crashed through the roof on the day 19 Muslim terrorists hijacked the airliners and flew them into the Twin Towers in 2001.

Now Muslim worshippers currently occupy the building, and they plan to turn it into a major Islamic cultural center.

“The men and women stand up, raise their hands on either side of their head, murmur ‘Allahu akhbar,’ bow and kneel again,” reports Spiegel Online.

“Only in New York City is this possible,” Daisy Khan, executive director of the American Society for Muslim Advancement, or ASMA, told the magazine. Khan is the wife of Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, founder of ASMA.

They have leased the new prayer space as an overflow building for another mosque, Masjid al-Farah, at 245 West Broadway in TriBeCa, where Rauf is the spiritual leader.

The building – vacant since that fateful day when time stood still as millions of Americans grieved the loss of loved ones, friends, family members, co-workers and strangers – was purchased in July by real-estate company Soho Properties, a business run by Muslims. Rauf was an investor in that transaction.

Just down the street, the Museum of Jewish Heritage honors victims of the Holocaust, and St. Peter’s Church, New York’s oldest Catholic house of worship, is located around the corner.

Rauf has announced his plans to turn the building into a complete Islamic cultural center, with a mosque, a museum, “merchandising options,” and room for seminars to reconcile religions, “to counteract the backlash against Muslims in general, ” Speigel reports. The project may cost as much as $150 million.

Rauf told the New York Times purchasing the building “where a piece of the wreckage fell sends the opposite statement to what happened on 9/11.”

“It was almost obvious that something like this had to arise from the ashes of 9/11,” Khan told Spiegel. “In some way, this has the hand of the divine written over it. It’s almost as if God wanted to be involved.”

The move is supported by the city. The mayor’s director of the Office of Immigrant Affairs, Fatima Shama, told the Times, “We as New York Muslims have as much of a commitment to rebuilding New York as anybody.”

The city’s Department of Buildings records show the building has been the focus of complaints for illegal construction and blocked exits in the last year. Recent entries from Sept. 28 and 29, 2009, indicate inspectors have been unable to access the building. One complaint states, “Inspector unable to gain access – 1st attempt – No access to 5 sty building. Front locked. No responsible party present.” The second, just a day later, states, “Inspector unable to gain access – 2nd attempt – no access to building. No activity or responsible party. Building remains inaccessible at Park Place.”

Agency spokeswoman Carly Sullivan told the Times the complaints were listed as “resolved” under city procedures since the inspectors were unable to gain access.

Imam Rauf, born in Egypt, has written three books: “What’s Right with Islam: A New Vision for Muslims and the West,” “Islam: A Sacred Law” and “Islam: A Search for Meaning.”

WND reported in 2003 when, at least four times that year, the FBI’s New York field office held all-day sensitivity training sessions, not far from Ground Zero, featuring Rauf.

Speaking for about two hours each session, “he gave an overview of Islamic culture and some of the differences between what fundamentalist terrorist groups say are the teachings of the Quran and what he believes, as a student of religion, the Quran actually says,” said special agent James Margolin, spokesman for the FBI New York office.

Rauf asserted that the Quran “certainly doesn’t counsel terrorism, murder or mayhem,” Margolin said. And he said terrorists have misinterpreted the Quranic term “jihad” to mean violent, or armed, struggle against nonbelievers. Rauf claims it means internal struggle.

Rauf was invited to speak in Sydney, Australia, by Premier Bob Carr in 2004. According to the Sydney Morning Herald, he said the U.S. and the West must acknowledge the harm they’ve done to Muslims before terrorism can end.

He said the West must understand the terrorists’ point of view – and he blamed Christians for starting mass attacks on civilians.

“The Islamic method of waging war is not to kill innocent civilians. But it was Christians in World War II who bombed civilians in Dresden and Hiroshima, neither of which were military targets,” he said.

According to the report, Rauf said there would be little progress until the U.S. acknowledged backing dictators and the U.S. president gave an “America Culpa” speech to the Muslim world.

On June 4, 2009, President Obama gave a speech to the Muslim world from Cairo, in which he stated:

I have come here to seek a new beginning between the United States and Muslims around the world; one based upon mutual interest and mutual respect; and one based upon the truth that America and Islam are not exclusive, and need not be in competition. Instead, they overlap, and share common principles – principles of justice and progress; tolerance and the dignity of all human beings. … So I have known Islam on three continents before coming to the region where it was first revealed. That experience guides my conviction that partnership between America and Islam must be based on what Islam is, not what it isn’t. And I consider it part of my responsibility as president of the United States to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam wherever they appear.

Rauf praised Obama for “embracing Islam in the peacemaking process” in his speech to the Muslim world. He wrote in the Washington Post:

The historic significance of President Obama’s speech to the Muslim world in Cairo cannot be overstated. Never before has an American president spoken to the global Muslim community. His speech marked a major shift in American foreign policy. … In just a few sentences he demolished the phony theory of the ‘Clash of Civilizations,’ which insists that Islam and the West must always be in conflict. Instead, he declared the United States is not at war with Islam and outlined a plan for how the conflict can be resolved. … He captured the attention of Muslims because, unlike most politicians, he was willing to critique both his own country and Muslims where they fell short of their ideals.

In an interview with Beliefnet on Islam and America, a reporter asked Rauf, “Some Islamic charities are being investigated for terrorist ties. Have you seen what you consider to be reputable Islamic charities being financially damaged?”

“We believe that a certain portion of every charity has been legitimate,” he responded. “To say that you have connections with terrorism is a very gray area. It’s like the accusation that Saddam Hussein had links to Osama bin Laden. Well, America had links to Osama bin Laden – does that mean that America is a terrorist country or has ties to terrorism?”

In 2004, Rauf participated in a 30-second advertisement, broadcast on Arabic television, in which he apologized for alleged abuses at Abu Ghraib prison.

The Times reported Rauf said he believes “Islamic terrorists do not come from another moral universe – that they arise from oppressive societies that he feels Washington had a hand in creating.”

Readers of various blogs are outraged at the news of the mosque. Comments include the following:

  • Muslims are doing this only to see if they get away with it. It’s the way Islam spreads in every country these days, like a cancer – through incremental totalitarianism. In this case, they’ll quietly open the mosque, then, as they get away with it, they’ll ramp up their outrages until someone finally points it out. At that time, their lawyers, backed by the ACLU and various liberal organizations, will pounce.
  • This is not different than allowing the Nazis to establish their headquarters and propaganda office in NYC in 1938. How come people could tell right from wrong then and not now?
  • What bonehead allowed this to happen?
  • That’s disgusting. That truly is low. I feel bad for the people who lost family members.
  • This is outrageous. I just don’t have word.
  • This is called “staging” for the KSM trial.
  • You’ve got to be kidding me. If this is true, our beloved country is already gone. We no longer have the America I know and love.
  • Who wants to bet this place becomes a “tourist attraction” for Muslims? This mosque will become one of Islam’s holiest shrines as it sits upon the site of their greatest modern military victory.
  • Good idea. Maybe terrorists will be less likely to bomb this area if there’s a mosque there.

Atheists Attack Downtown Baltimore

December 10, 2009 at 10:32 am (Christian news) (, , , , , )

Baltimore CoR

Baltimore CoR

“The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God” Psalm 14: 1

Millions are good without God.

That’s quite a claim from this billboard that recently showed up in downtown Baltimore.  Sure, I guess it could be true… from a certain point of view.  There are millions of “good” people who are going to spend a terrible eternity in hell because the standard for getting into heaven is the righteousness of Christ, not our own righteousness.

But I’m sure they are not talking about that type of goodness.  They are talking about the type of goodness that moves people to stop and help a complete stranger.  The type of goodness that allows people to forgive each others faults and to get along in harmony with one another.

People have a built in moral compass, called the conscience, which shows us the difference between right and wrong.  It is our conscience that guides us and directs us towards good and away from evil.

So here’s the question you must answer for yourself:  Does it make more sense that somehow, over millions of years as amino acids formed peptides and the building blocks of life came together for the first time, that a moral compass was formed where none existed before, or does it make more sense that a perfect, holy, righteous God created man in His image and we inherited our conscience, that moral compass,  from the God who created us?

Random chance or intelligent design?  Which one, really, is the smart man’s choice?

How can anyone believe that every perfectly balanced solar system in every perfectly balanced galaxy in our perfectly balanced universe came about in its perfect form as a result of a huge explosion?

Did the laws of physics go right out the window when I wasn’t looking?

Entropy is the proven, scientific effect of everything moving from a state of harmony towards a state of chaos.  So we are to believe that after the big bang, the largest explosion that supposedly ever happened, things moved against the proven law of entropy, from a state of chaos towards a state of harmony?

Bottom line… we are under attack from atheists.  We must stand united against these false teachers that have risen up against us in these last days.  We must not only defend our beliefs with faith, but with logic and cunning and truth.  We must be wise as serpents and gentle as doves.

But we must not allow these lies to be passed off as truth as we stand by and say nothing.

Can I get an “amen?”

Kevin Jennings is a Sick Perverted Freak

December 9, 2009 at 8:53 am (Christian news) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , , )

Sorry for the lack of creativity in the post title, but I just don’t know what else to say about the man.  Especially since, as a writer, I am always aware that what I say has a further reach and longer-lasting impact than most. This is rather frightening for me at times, especially in light of the fact that Jesus tells us that we will give account for every idle word that we speak. But I am also uniquely aware that sometimes, you just have to call a spade a spade and let the chips fall where they may.  Hence the post title.

Because I am also sensitive to my audience and there was so much disgusting information that came out in this investigation, I quickly realized that I could not post it directly here.  For more information on some of the specific atrocities committed against our children by Kevin Jennings and the Department of Education, click on these articles.

Warning: Explicit information!  Article 1

Warning: Explicit information!  Article 2

Warning: Explicit information!  Article 3

Warning: Explicit information!  Article 4

For those wanting to know the talking points without all of the gory details, click here.

The scary thing is that even congress, who can’t seem to agree when to take bathroom breaks, is coming together to agree that Jennings needs to be ousted.  Click here to read more about that.

Finally, what can be done to stop this man from indoctrinating our children into the perverse sin of homosexuality through the public schools system?  Maybe nothing.

But here are four suggested courses of action:

  1. Pray! Nothing of eternal significance is done apart from prayer, so spend time in prayer alone or together with your family.  Petition the gates of heaven with your requests that this man would come to know Jesus Christ personally and repent of his sinfully perverse behavior.
  2. Teach our children the truth! The best way to combat false teaching is with the truth.  If they understand what the Word of God says about homosexuality and they know that the truth is not being taught in their schools about this, then they will be prepared to deal with this when it comes to their school.  And don’t be fooled… it’s coming to their school, if it’s not already there.
  3. Join with others and make your voice heard! Go to the website StopJennings.org and see what you can do to make your voice be heard.  Join with others and let’s take back our schools for the sake of our children.  Call the Secretary of Education today and let him know how you feel about your children being indoctrinated into the homosexual lifestyle and all of it’s perversions.
  4. Share this information with everyone you know! Pass this along to friends, family, co-workers, your pastor and everyone else that you know.  Getting the information out there is one of the best ways we can combat this!  Here is the shortlink for this post.  Please copy it and share this information with everyone through e-mail, social networking and bookmarking sites.

The most important thing is to be aware so that we can protect our children.

And pray!  Pray as if the future of our country and the safety of our children depends on it.

Because it does.

Without Gilad, There is No Mosque

December 8, 2009 at 9:39 am (Christian news) (, , , , , , , , , , )

Gilad Shalit, IDF soldier captured by Hamas

Gilad Shalit, IDF soldier captured by Hamas

A new campaign has been launched across the Internet to close the Al Aqsa mosque to Muslim worshippers until Hamas terrorists return kidnapped IDF soldier Gilad Shalit, held in captivity since his abduction near the Kerem Shalom crossing on June 25, 2006.

A petition has been making the rounds, calling on the Israeli police to close the Temple Mount to Muslims until Shalit is released without preconditions. The campaign, which is being carried out under the banner, “Without Gilad, There is No Mosque” was initiated by Temple Mount activist Yehuda Glick, who spoke with Arutz Sheva about the project.

“The Temple Mount is our heart of hearts, and an IDF soldier rotting for three years in a hovel without a minimum of basic rights is also in our hearts. The only thing that we can do to hurt the Muslim public is to block their access to the Temple Mount,” Glick said, adding that he hopes the pressure from the entire Muslim world will force Hamas to free Shalit in order to reopen the Mount.

“We will have to take measures that hurt the Muslim public,” he said, adding that he is not concerned about the possibility the idea may cause riots in Jerusalem. “Why aren’t they worried over the idea of kidnapping a soldier?” he asked.

Glick said he is aware the chances are slim that his proposal will be implemented, or even be heard by government ministers. “I am speaking to the people of Israel and not to the government of Israel. We want to connect the people of Israel with the Temple Mount — to raise our consciousness.”

Hamas, however, spins a different story.  A senior Hamas source told an Italian news agency on Monday that the “ball was in Israel’s court” on negotiations over Shalit’s freedom. Muhamad al-Katri, the Hamas official in charge of prisoners’ affairs, said the terrorist group had even agreed to have Shalit examined by French doctors despite concerns that such a visit would diclose the hiding place where the hostage is being held.

German mediator Ernst Uhrlau meanwhile arrived Monday in Tel Aviv with the terrorist group’s response to Israel’s latest offer on a swap deal for Shalit’s release. He is expected to return to Gaza within a few days.

On Sunday, the London-based Arabic-language Al-Hayat newspaper reported that a team of four French doctors indeed accompanied the German mediator to Gaza — a week ago Sunday — to examine the Israeli soldier as a confidence-building measure in the negotiations.

According to the report, the doctors, all specialists in different fields, arrived with Uhrlau in Cairo and entered Gaza through the Rafiah crossing. They allegedly examined Shalit in the hiding place where he is being held prisoner.

We call on all those with a compassionate heart to pray for the safety and swift release of Gilad Shalit.  And please, sign the petition.  For those who do not read Hebrew, the first box is for your name and the second box is for any comments you might desire to post.  Then click the reddish rectangular stamp to post.

Lesbian Awarded Custody of Christian's Only Child

December 7, 2009 at 11:59 am (Christian news) (, , , , )

Original Reporting from WorldNetDaily by Bob Unruh

A Vermont court ordered a Christian child taken away from her mother and given to a lesbian ex-partner, setting up, according to a lawyer for the Christian family, a dispute that the U.S. Supreme Court likely will have to resolve.

Mathew Staver, founder of Liberty Counsel, told WND the recent order from the Vermont judge that Lisa Miller turn over her young daughter, Isabella, to the lesbian ex-partner, Janet Jenkins, on New Year’s Day is being appealed.

In the interim, a separate court hearing on the dispute is scheduled to be heard in a Virginia court during this coming week.

“We’re arguing that the state of Virginia cannot enforce an out of state, Vermont, civil union because it’s contrary to Virginia law,” Staver said.

Ultimately, he said, the issue probably will have to be resolved by the U.S. Supreme Court, because the case is being moved along parallel tracks in both Vermont, where Jenkins lives, and Virginia, where the Millers live.

He said it is possible that the final results from each state will be opposing rulings.

“That is a direct appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court,” Staver explained.

WND has reported on the case multiple times, including just weeks ago when the American Civil Liberties Union, on behalf of Jenkins, went to court in Virginia demanding that Miller be jailed for refusing to allow her daughter, 6, to be on unsupervised visits with Jenkins.

Jenkins has stated she believes it is not good for a child to be raised in a Christian atmosphere.

Miller had refused because of issues over previous visits, including statements by Isabella that she was compelled to bathe naked with Jenkins.

The dispute is over Jenkins’ demands for visitation and/or custody of Isabella, with whom she has neither a blood nor an adoptive relationship.

Liberty Counsel has argued that Virginia courts cannot enforce child custody orders arising from Vermont same-sex civil unions since the state doesn’t recognize that status.

Last year, a judge in Vermont gave Jenkins visitation rights with Miller’s daughter.  Then just days ago, the judge ordered custody transferred to Jenkins.

Liberty Counsel said, “Unrefuted testimony has shown that for the last five years, Janet has neither attempted to phone nor write Isabella. She has never sent Isabella a card of any kind for any occasion. Janet has refused to attend Isabella’s Christmas plays because she does not want to be around a Christian environment. She has also said that it is not in Isabella’s best interest to be raised in a Christian home.”

Virginia court rulings have declared Miller to be the sole parent.

Isabella was born to Miller from artificial insemination when Miller and Jenkins were living together. They obtained a civil union from Vermont, but Jenkins never adopted the baby.

The relationship terminated when Miller became a Christian and quit the lesbian lifestyle.

Even on the pro-homosexual “Queerty” website, the Vermont court decision startled some.

“What kind of monster takes a child away from their mother. … This is a human rights violation for the child,” said one person.

“It’s easy to pick on the biological mother. We don’t like her religious beliefs, we don’t like her politics. But the fact remains that [this] is dangerous precedent for mothers, who [are] under increasing pressure to ‘cooperate’ with ex’s regarding their children, REGARDLESS of the ex’s history of abuse, alcoholism, and abuse. Please familiarize yourself with the fathers rights movement and their war on women – just because you don’t identify yourself as heterosexual doesn’t mean that you aren’t in their crosshairs,” added another.

The case earlier was complicated when Jenkins’ Virginia attorney withdrew “after he was indicted for obstructing justice and tampering with evidence regarding a murder that occurred in his home, where his college male friend was sodomized and killed,” Liberty Counsel said.
